Description

Real estate managers oversee buildings and homes that people rent or lease. They show property to people who are looking for a home or office space. Real estate managers make sure the property is clean, orderly and in good condition. They meet and work with many people.

Salary

The middle half of real estate managers earn between $21,000 and $43,000 a year. Some resident apartment managers also receive the use of an apartment in which to live.

Helpful Skills and Subjects to Study

Good communication skills and the ability to work with all kinds of people are important for this job. Classes in English, mathematics and business are helpful.
