| Career-O-ROM-A combines animation, photography, voice interviews, and music to produce a learning tool that will grab kids' attention. Students can explore more than 140 different careers to help Dez the dog find the perfect job. By answering questions and clicking the mouse, kids navigate through the working world.
Students click on photos of workers and professionals to learn the specifics of a career to see and hear what the person does at work. Suggested school subjects, salary, educational requirements, and outlook information are shown in an easy to understand graphic format and presented in terms a 3rd grader can understand. Occupations are organized into 12 clusters. Students can explore in several ways:
Kid's Career Finder gives students a simple interest exercise to guide their exploration. They learn which career groups match their answers. The Career Groups screen begins with a simple click on worker's face. The worker then tells the student all about the chosen career. The Career Quiz presents career information in a fun TV game-show format.
